Allen & Orr has always had its doors open to the general public and welcomes all wood inquiries for DIY projects, home improvements, garden improvements, handcrafting furniture, or building a shed. Just drop into the yard and say hello at our trade counter.
You will find the staff friendly, but more importantly helpful and knowledgeable.
WOOD ONLY
We sell the raw material in all shapes and sizes, but it is down to you to make what you want.
CUTTING SERVICE
Wood can be cut to size on-site so please phone or ask about our wood-cutting service.

You will find very knowledgeable and experienced people behind our trade counter.

The best quality softwoods are sourced from colder climates. They are denser, tighter-grained, and have fewer knots.

Typically, our joinery materials are imported from Sweden, Finland and the North Baltic area in general, which we believe enables us to supply a better product than most other outlets.

Best time to visit:
The public is always welcome at our yard, but we recommend mid-morning through to the afternoon,
or weekends.
This is because first thing in the morning our trade customers will be collecting the wood they need for the day.
Then there is often a rush at the end of the day, for those planning an early start.
